Several individuals have sustained injuries following the sudden collapse of a balcony at a wedding venue in the small town of Kaladhungi, India. The incident occurred as a wedding ceremony was underway, with onlookers gathered on the balcony of a neighbouring house.
Emergency Response and Hospitalisation
Local authorities have confirmed that the balcony gave way around 8:45 PM, just before the wedding procession arrived at the scene. According to police reports, the injured victims range in age from four to 35 years old.
First aid was administered at the location before the individuals were transported to STH Hospital in Haldwani for further medical treatment. Six people are currently hospitalised, though their exact conditions remain unknown at this time.

The cause of the collapse has not yet been determined, but an investigation is ongoing to ascertain what led to the structural failure. The bride and groom were reportedly left distraught by the horrifying event, which marred what should have been a joyous occasion.
