Police have launched an investigation after a man's body was discovered on the grounds of a secondary school in Wolverhampton this morning, forcing the site to close.
Emergency Services Called to School Grounds
Emergency services were called to Smestow Academy on Windmill Crescent at approximately 10.40am on Monday, 19 January 2026. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a man. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they attended a medical emergency in a field on Windmill Crescent, Castlecroft. The service sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the incident.
