A Florida man has been arrested and charged after allegedly parading half-naked around a luxury resort and performing what witnesses described as a 'sexual performance' with a vacuum cleaner.
Incident at Family-Friendly Resort
Kevin Westerhold, 51, was detained by police on January 27 in Oviedo following an investigation into reports of lewd behaviour at the Windsor Hills Resort in Kissimmee. The incident reportedly occurred on January 22, when the Osceola County Sheriff's Office responded to calls about inappropriate conduct outside a residence.
Witness Accounts and Evidence
According to official statements, multiple witnesses provided detailed accounts and cell phone recordings showing a partially clothed male engaged in inappropriate behaviour. The sheriff's office confirmed that witnesses alleged Westerhold was 'engaged in a sexual performance with a vacuum cleaner' during the incident.
Police reports indicate that by the time officers arrived at the scene, Westerhold had already departed the area. Subsequent investigation revealed he resides approximately 40 miles away in Oviedo, where he operates multiple Airbnb properties with his wife in the Windsor Hills neighbourhood.
Pattern of Behaviour Emerges
As police canvassed the area, they discovered multiple reports of similar alleged inappropriate behaviour by the same individual. One complaint dated January 21 reported a 'nude male in a shared hallway' at the resort.
Residents provided Blink video footage showing the suspect partially clothed or completely nude in hallway areas. Deputies further discovered that Westerhold's alleged nudity had been reported to the neighbourhood's Homeowners Association as early as December, suggesting a pattern of behaviour.
Resort Context and Community Impact
The Windsor Hills Resort describes itself on its website as a 'comfortable and enjoyable environment for families' with convenient access to major attractions including Disney World and Universal Studios. The luxury development features townhomes, condominiums and single-family homes available for rent by private owners, with most rentals ranging from $200 to $1,000 per night.
This context makes the alleged incident particularly concerning for residents and visitors who expect a family-friendly atmosphere at the popular tourist destination.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
Westerhold was eventually detained by the Oviedo Police Department near his home and booked into Seminole County Jail. He faces one formal charge of exposing sexual organs in connection with the incident.
According to reports, Westerhold was released shortly after his arrest and is scheduled to appear in court next month to answer the charges against him. The Daily Mail has contacted the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, the Oviedo Police Department and Westerhold himself for comment on the case.
The investigation continues as authorities examine all available evidence, including witness statements and video recordings, to build their case against the 51-year-old Florida resident.
