In a brazen daylight incident, a gang opened fire on a man riding an electric dirt bike in what police have described as a targeted attack on a Liverpool estate. Armed officers swiftly responded to reports of gunshots on Monday, leading to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of two loaded firearms.
Swift Police Response Leads to Arrests
Following reports of gunfire on Fulwood Way, armed police rushed to Bowland Drive in Liverpool. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which was involved in a collision with a police car on Melling Road in Aintree before being abandoned on Epsom Close. The four men, aged 33, 42, 21, and 23, all from Liverpool, were apprehended after attempting to escape on foot.
They have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, failing to stop a vehicle, and dangerous driving. All four remain in police custody as investigations continue.

The incident has left the local community alarmed, with eyewitnesses reporting hearing a gunshot and seeing a black car, possibly a Range Rover, in the vicinity.

Merseyside Police have reopened Melling Road, but the canal path near Aintree Lane remained cordoned off on Tuesday morning. Detective Sergeant Davies added, "Although we have made four arrests, we are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
