Golders Green Stabbing: Man Charged, Terror Threat Raised

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Golders Green, north London, which has prompted the UK government to raise the national terror threat level to 'severe'. The suspect, who has not been named, is due to appear in court later today.

Golders Green Attack Details

The attack occurred on Thursday evening, leaving two people injured. Police were called to the scene at approximately 7:30 PM. The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards and has now been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Terror Threat Level Raised

In response to the incident, the UK's Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has raised the national terror threat level from 'substantial' to 'severe', meaning an attack is highly likely.
