Haley Kalil Fights Ex-Husband's Lawsuit Over Viral Comments

Haley Kalil, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, has formally requested a judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed against her by her ex-husband, former NFL star Matt Kalil. The legal action centres on her viral comments about the size of his manhood, which she made during a livestream in November 2025.

Legal Battle Over Viral Remarks

In newly filed legal documents, Haley Kalil argues that Matt Kalil's invasion of privacy case should be thrown out. She contends that her remarks were not intended to mock him but were part of a "truthful, autobiographical account" of the "anatomical incompatibility" that contributed to the end of their marriage. Her legal team asserts that she cannot be held civilly liable for sharing her own life experiences.

Conflicting Narratives Emerge

Matt Kalil, a retired offensive tackle who played for the Minnesota Vikings, insists that Haley's comments subjected him to "widespread ridicule." His lawsuit claims the viral remarks have had a devastating impact on his private life, particularly citing harassment directed at his new wife, Keilani Asmus. The suit includes screenshots of abusive social media messages sent to Asmus, which Kalil describes as "increasingly frequent, disturbing and alarming in nature over time."

However, Haley Kalil's motion to dismiss paints a different picture. Her lawyers state that the couple's "loving union... was ultimately hindered by an unfortunate physical incompatibility" that made a "normal sexual relationship impossible." They argue that Matt is "cherry-picking" her words to create a false narrative and that she was actually "praising" him while describing her own "sexual trauma."

Legal Arguments Intensify

Ryan Saba, the attorney representing Matt Kalil, has firmly rejected Haley's defense. In a statement to TMZ, Saba scoffed at the motion to dismiss, alleging that Haley "wantonly disclosed private and intimate details" for the purpose of "profiting." He emphasised that a "spouse does not have a right to expose private and confidential marital and sexual details" and expressed confidence that the motion will be "completely denied."

The couple's legal standoff remains bitter as a judge considers Haley's request. Since their split in 2022, Matt Kalil remarried in the summer of 2024, and the lawsuit highlights the ongoing personal fallout from the viral incident.
