London School Knife Attack: Teenager Charged with Attempted Murder
A 13-year-old boy has been formally charged with two counts of attempted murder after a shocking knife attack at a London school. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday at Kingsbury High School in the Brent area, left two pupils with serious injuries from stabbings.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, is also accused of spraying insect repellent into the face of a third child and possessing a knife on school premises. Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan, from Counter Terrorism Policing London, emphasised the gravity of the situation, stating: 'These are extremely serious charges against a young boy, and we continue to support the victims and their families, as well as the wider school community following this shocking incident.'
She added that while charges have been brought, the police investigation remains active, with detectives continuing to conduct enquiries in the local area. The authorities are collaborating closely with local policing colleagues in Brent and have expressed gratitude for the support from the school and community.

The boy is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Youth Court on Thursday morning. A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that prosecutors have determined there is sufficient evidence to proceed with the case, deeming it in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.
The spokesperson stated: 'We have worked closely with the police as they have carried out their investigation. We remind all concerned that criminal proceedings against this defendant are active and that he has the right to a fair trial. It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.'
