Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in a wooded area of Guildford.
Emergency Services Called to Woodland Scene
Surrey Police and other emergency services were called to an area off Lido Road, near Stoke Park, at approximately 6.10pm on Monday, 19 January. The call followed reports of a serious incident in the woodland.
Officers and paramedics discovered a teenage boy with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's age has not been formally released by authorities, but his next of kin have been informed.

A significant police cordon remains in place around the area, which includes the wooded sections known locally as Peacock Wood and is close to the Wild Wood Adventure site. Forensic teams are conducting a detailed examination of the scene.
Detectives leading the murder investigation are urgently appealing for witnesses. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the woods or Lido Road between 6pm and 6.20pm on Monday evening.
An appeal has also been made for any drivers with dashcam footage who were travelling through the area during that crucial 20-minute window to come forward.
