Pooh Shiesty Accused of Kidnapping Gucci Mane in Dallas

Rapper Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell D. Williams Jr., has been implicated in a serious criminal case involving the kidnapping and armed robbery of multiple victims, including fellow rapper Gucci Mane. The incident occurred at a music studio in Dallas on January 10, according to police reports.

Details of the Armed Robbery

U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, provided a detailed account during a news conference on Thursday. He explained that three music industry professionals had traveled to Dallas for a scheduled business meeting, which was arranged by Williams Jr. to discuss the terms of his recording contract with one of the victims.

Once inside the recording studio, Williams Jr. and eight co-conspirators, some of whom had traveled from Memphis, Tennessee, executed a coordinated armed takeover. Raybould alleged that Williams Jr. brandished an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from the recording contract at gunpoint.

Stolen Items and Co-Conspirators

During the robbery, the co-conspirators reportedly stole high-value items, including Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other personal belongings from the victims. This violent episode highlights the dangers that can lurk within the music industry, even during what should be routine business meetings.

Pooh Shiesty was arrested this week after being accused of masterminding the robbery plot, which specifically targeted his own record label. This arrest comes shortly after his release from federal prison in October 2025, where he had served three years for firearms and drug charges, having originally been sentenced to 63 months.

Background and Legal Implications

The case underscores ongoing issues with crime and violence in the entertainment sector, particularly involving high-profile figures. Prosecutors are pursuing charges against all nine individuals involved, emphasizing the severity of the armed kidnapping and robbery.

This incident has sparked discussions about safety protocols in music studios and the broader implications for artist contracts and industry practices. Authorities continue to investigate, with further details expected as the legal proceedings unfold.
