Married Teacher Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse of 12-Year-Old Student
Naomi Tekea Craig, a 33-year-old married music teacher, has confessed to sexually abusing a 12-year-old schoolboy in a disturbing case that has shocked the community. Craig, who taught at Frederick Irwin Anglican School in Meadow Springs, Western Australia, entered guilty pleas to multiple charges at Mandurah Magistrates Court in New South Wales.
Allegations of Persistent Abuse and Paternity
Court documents reveal that the alleged offences occurred between August 2024 and December 2025, involving what authorities describe as "persistent sexual conduct" with the pupil over more than a year. Police Commissioner Col Blanch stated that investigators believe the baby Craig gave birth to earlier this month was fathered by the very boy she is accused of assaulting, with DNA testing having been conducted to verify this claim.
Craig was arrested while on maternity leave, just one month before delivering the child. The case has been fast-tracked to the district court, with sentencing scheduled for March 27. She remains on bail under strict conditions that prohibit any contact with the victim and restrict unsupervised interaction with children other than her own infant.

- Two counts of sexual penetration of a child aged over 13 and under 16
- Five counts of sexually penetrating a child under the age of 13
- Indecent dealing with a child under 13

Frederick Irwin Anglican School principal Tracey Gray notified parents of the arrest in a letter, emphasising that the charges "do not involve any current student" and that there is "no need for concern for any other children at the school." A Western Australian Police spokesperson acknowledged the profound distress such reports cause within communities, noting that specialist detectives and support services are diligently investigating the matter while providing care for victims.
