On Thursday, authorities announced that Samara Jay Glover, aged 27 and residing on Dairy Crest Drive in Newport, has been charged with murder as well as causing or allowing the death of a child. She remains in police custody at this time.
In a related development, a 31-year-old man from Newport was previously arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, including murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and causing assault, ill treatment, neglect, or abandonment of a child or young person leading to unnecessary suffering or injury.
