Kelley Wolf's Protective Order Charge Dismissed in Utah Court

A judge in Utah has granted a motion to dismiss a misdemeanor charge against Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf, for allegedly violating a temporary protective order. According to court documents obtained by People, the Summit County District Attorney's Office requested the dismissal, which was approved on Tuesday.

Dismissal Without Prejudice and Global Resolution

The charge was dismissed without prejudice, meaning prosecutors retain the option to refile it in the future. Reports indicate this action forms part of a global resolution that also addresses a separate harassment case involving Kelley and Scott Wolf. This development follows a previous decision in December, where a judge approved Scott's request to dismiss his protective order against Kelley.

Kelley had faced one misdemeanor count of electronic communications harassment related to an alleged interaction with Scott on August 25, plus two misdemeanor charges of electronic disclosure of personal identifying information. The latter stemmed from an incident on August 26, where she allegedly posted Scott's personal phone number on Instagram. Court records previously classified these as domestic violence-related offences.

Legal Proceedings and Treatment Plans

A hearing scheduled for January 27 was postponed after Kelley's attorney requested a continuance on January 23, citing her cooperation with prosecutors to resolve both cases. The judge agreed, rescheduling the hearing for July 28. During her arraignment in September, Kelley announced plans to enter a treatment programme, stating she would attend a facility starting September 12.

I have informed everyone that needs to know, I will be attending a treatment centre starting on September 12, she said, according to People. This is what was asked of me by both Bart Johnson and Scott Wolf now for six months — all I wanted to do was leave a marriage. This followed a bail condition requiring her to participate in medical or psychological treatment upon release.

Arrest and Social Media Statements

Kelley was arrested at the Sundance Mountain Resort in late August and charged with the electronic offences. In Instagram Stories videos at the time, she expressed confusion and fear, telling followers: The police are at my house to arrest me. I have no idea why. I am not suicidal. I am no danger to anyone. I have done nothing. She pleaded for help, asserting she had no mental disorders or prior arrests.

Despite entering rehab in September, Kelley checked herself out shortly after, later claiming on Instagram she was malnourished and weighed only 97 pounds. She insisted she was not crazy and not in rehab, highlighting her role as a mother and denying drug or alcohol abuse. I have lost everything, she wrote. I am malnourished. Treated like a crazy woman.

Family Dynamics and Divorce Background

The couple's three children—Jackson, 16; Miller, 13; and Lucy, 11—have been involved in supervised visits. During one livestreamed visit, Kelley appeared erratic, telling Scott, You're a monster. Your whole family is monsters. Jackson later addressed their estrangement on Instagram, stating, I do not associate with my mom in any way. She is very mentally ill and has completely lost the person she was. He defended Scott as a spectacular father.

Scott filed for divorce in June, after 21 years of marriage, citing the need for privacy for their children. Kelley countered that she had initiated separation almost a year earlier, but legal delays slowed the process. I've been grieving this marriage for years, she said, adding she was well into the healing. Scott, known for Party of Five, has appeared in numerous TV shows and films, while Kelley is a reality TV alumna from The Real World: New Orleans.
