What Universities Are Saying
Several Russell Group universities have expressed willingness to accommodate these students if the government facilitates their arrival. "We stand ready to welcome these scholars," said a spokesperson from the University of Manchester. "What's needed now is political will."
Government Response
While the Department for Education acknowledges the issue, no concrete measures have been announced. A spokesperson stated they are "monitoring the situation closely" but provided no timeline for action.
