Romeo Beckham is making his on-screen debut in a romantic tennis movie titled 'Forty Love', directed by fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti. The 23-year-old stars alongside Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin, and Catherine Deneuve. The film is produced by Hugo Sélignac and Paco de Bary at Chi-Fou-Mi Production, a Mediawan company, co-produced by Studiocanal and Manna Studios.
Plot and Production Details
According to IMDB, the movie synopsis is: 'A drama set in professional tennis, exploring the balance between ambition, performance, and intimacy on the French Riviera.' This marks the first directorial outing for Carlotti.
Family Fallout with Brooklyn
Romeo's acting debut comes as his older brother Brooklyn continues to distance himself from the family. Recently, Cruz and Romeo publicly backed their sister Harper, 14, after the family was accused of 'choreographing' her attempt to visit Brooklyn. Harper was photographed looking downcast as she approached Brooklyn's Beverly Hills home on June 12, leaving shortly after.
Representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola said: '[The fact] that photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all - this was choreographed for the cameras.'
Hitting back, sources close to Victoria and David Beckham fumed: 'It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother. Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.'
Romeo's Support for Harper
Romeo called his little sister his 'favourite person ever' while sharing a selfie on Instagram, wearing a Brazil jacket from his clothing label Intra as they pulled funny faces. The latest drama emerged after Harper attended the £14million LA property, reportedly carrying a handwritten letter for Brooklyn.
Brooklyn has since released a DoorDash advert for the World Cup, mocking his family fallout with sarcastic jibes at the expense of his parents and siblings.
