Alexandra Daddario Files for Divorce from Andrew Form After Three Years
Alexandra Daddario, the 39-year-old star of Mayfair Witches, has officially ended her three-year marriage to film producer Andrew Form, 57. Court records from New York confirm that Daddario filed for divorce on Friday, marking the conclusion of a union that began with a lavish New Orleans wedding in 2022.
The Heartbreaking Reason Behind the Split
A source close to the couple has revealed to the Daily Mail that the marriage crumbled due to a "consistent loss of love". Despite their relationship starting off "hot and heavy", the estranged pair slowly grew apart as their demanding work schedules kept them separated for extended periods.
The insider explained: "Alexandra and Andrew slowly grew apart after spending time away from each other with their work schedules. Having a child together was a reason to be together and in love, but even then, they weren't even doing that together often, and their life together slowly disintegrated and became undone."
The source emphasized that the end of the marriage was not sudden but rather a gradual decline. "It wasn't a sudden event, as it was more of a consistent loss of love instead of working on their relationship and continuing being together," the insider claimed. Ultimately, the couple "found not being together easier, and now they are moving on."
Co-Parenting and Family Dynamics
Daddario and Form share a one-year-old son, born in October 2024, and the couple has committed to prioritizing a positive co-parenting relationship. The source noted, "They got a wonderful son out of the equation, that they will love forever, but it will be easier to do it without being a couple. It was hot and heavy and dwindled as fast as it started."
In addition to their young son, Daddario became stepmother to Form's two children from his previous marriage to actress Jordana Brewster: Julian, 12, and Rowan, 9. A representative for Daddario confirmed the divorce to People, stating, "The decision was made with love and respect. They will continue to co-parent their child together and appreciate privacy as they navigate this transition."
From Pandemic Meeting to Wedding Bells
The couple's romance began in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic in New York City. Daddario previously recounted their first encounter in an interview with Vogue, describing how they both were walking through the deserted streets when Form turned back to say hello. "I laughed and said 'hi,' and then we both laughed about how we were the only two people on what is normally an incredibly busy street, and he asked if he could take me to dinner," she recalled.
After a brief separation, Daddario agreed to dinner, sparking their relationship. "I said 'okay' against my better judgment. Nowadays, you're supposed to meet people on dating apps!" she joked. The couple became engaged in August 2021 and married in June 2022 in New Orleans.
Daddario's Reflections on Marriage and Motherhood
In a 2023 interview on Sunday Today, Daddario expressed her long-standing desire for family life. "I've always wanted to be a mom and be married. I think from when I was young, I've never been scared of monogamy or settling down or anything like that," she shared. She also praised Form at the time, calling him "a wonderful person" and noting that "it just clicked" when they met.
In 2021, she gushed to E! News about Form's supportive nature, saying, "He brings me peace during all the chaos, and hopefully it's the other way around. That's what he said, so I'm trusting him on that."
Despite their rare red carpet appearances together, the couple was last seen publicly in September at The Kids Mental Health Foundation LA Committee Dinner and Celebration in Los Angeles.
