Amanda Holden's Lavish 55th Birthday Celebration in Dubai
Television personality and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has celebrated her 55th birthday in spectacular fashion with a luxurious trip to Dubai. The star took to Instagram on Wednesday to provide followers with an exclusive glimpse into her opulent holiday, which included a stay at the prestigious Banyan Tree hotel, where nightly rates hover around £1,389.
Sun-Drenched Style and Celebratory Vibes
Amanda showcased her age-defying physique in a series of stylish Melissa Odabash bikinis, modeling both an orange two-piece and a mint green bikini while relaxing poolside with a refreshing drink in hand. Appearing to thoroughly enjoy her birthday festivities, she captioned her post: 'I recently spent a few days celebrating my birthday with family and friends in the beautiful @banyantreedxb... it’s an incredible hotel in the #bluewatersdubai area of Dubai.'
She enthusiastically praised the resort, noting: 'Beautiful resort beach and pools were stunning...(And there was no building work going on! ) The hotel itself is super chic and the spa is to die for. Had the most unbelievable room and we were looked after so well. All my bikinis are @melissaodabash!' Amanda was accompanied on this celebratory escape by her husband, Chris Hughes, with whom she has shared a marriage since 2008 after meeting in 2003; the couple are parents to daughters Lexi, 20, and Hollie, 14.
Showbiz Friends and Fitness Philosophy
A host of Amanda's entertainment industry friends flooded the comment section with birthday wishes. Fellow Heart FM presenter Ashley Roberts wrote: 'Looking good', while former TOWIE star Jessica Wright remarked: 'The hottest 55 year old'. Beyond the glamorous photos, Amanda has previously opened up about her approach to maintaining her figure, which involves running three to four miles weekly, practicing Kundalini yoga, and following a 'Viking workout regime'.
Despite this disciplined routine, she emphasizes balance, telling TV Times: 'I am not a slave to any beauty or fitness regime because I love food too much. But the deal I struck with myself was I have to run for my rosé wine in the summer and run for my red wine in winter.' Amanda humorously reflected that while it's 'all downhill from your 20s', proper nutrition and exercise can help 'turn back time', much like Cher.
She added with a laugh: 'I'm from a generation of women who won't [fade into the background] - we'll flaunt our bits for as long as we can. I am certainly going to - even when they're drooping down to the floor, I'll scoop them up again.'
Balancing Indulgence and Discipline
Last year, Amanda revealed that despite posting glamorous bikini shots on Instagram, she had been enjoying daily drinks with co-star Alan Carr, 49, during filming of their show Amanda and Alan's Greek Job in Corfu. She explained to the Daily Mail: 'I did gymnastics for years, it was what I wanted to do more than anything, I didn't finish it until I was 15, so I think my body has always retained some sort of a figure.'
Addressing body image pressures, she stated: 'I don't find it easy. I hate it when you read about women who have got into their hot pants two weeks after giving birth, it's not what people want to hear.' Amanda admitted: 'I haven't been on my Peloton since July 18 when I went to Corfu and I have drunk every day. In the summer, that's what I do, I let it all go and then I get it back in time for Britain's Got Talent, and everything else in the lead up to Christmas.'
Concluding with her signature pragmatic approach, she said: 'I will get back on the Peloton, drink at the weekends, but I don't stop myself from living. If you can't tone it, tan it, that's what I say.' This birthday celebration in Dubai perfectly encapsulates Amanda Holden's philosophy of enjoying life's luxuries while maintaining a balanced and realistic attitude toward fitness and wellness.
