Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, renowned for her role as Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap, has joyfully announced the arrival of her second child with her husband, EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith. The 38-year-old star took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news, posting a tender black-and-white photograph of her newborn daughter's tiny feet, adorned in a floral-patterned baby grow.
Magical Announcement and Family Reactions
In her Instagram post, Amy Walsh expressed her elation, writing: 'This time last week I was heading into established labour. We've been in the most magical bubble ever since.' The announcement quickly garnered congratulations from friends and family, including her sister, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, who was among the first to send well-wishes.
Growing Family and Pregnancy Revelation
Amy and Toby-Alexander Smith, 34, are already parents to their daughter Bonnie, born in 2022. The couple revealed their second pregnancy in September via a creative Instagram video. The clip featured Amy, Toby, and Bonnie removing their hands from a frame to unveil a baby scan photo, with audio of Amy telling Bonnie she would soon have a sibling. Amy captioned the post: 'Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026,' hinting at the due date.
Romantic Journey and Wedding Details
The couple's love story began in 2019 when they met in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing, striking up a relationship a year later. After three years together, they tied the knot in 2023 at the picturesque Talici Hill Rustic Villa in Montenegro. Reflecting on their wedding day, Amy told OK! magazine: 'It was honestly the most perfect day. It surpassed all my expectations and more. I felt so surprisingly present on the day and loved every second. Now I'm just in pure bliss.'
Sentimental Wedding Gifts
Amy also shared touching details about her wedding, including a meaningful gift from her sister Kimberley. She received their grandmother's inherited ring, which she wore on her little finger to feel her grandparents' presence. Additionally, Kimberley loaned her a pair of Chanel earrings valued at approximately £1,500, serving as her 'something borrowed.' Amy remarked: 'My sister Kimberley gave me the ring she inherited from my grandma. She wears it every day and it epitomises my grandma. I wore it on my little finger so I had my grandma and grandad with me on the day, which was amazing.'
The family now celebrates this new addition, marking another chapter in their joyful journey together.
