Angie Harmon, the celebrated actress known for her roles in Rizzoli & Isles and Law & Order, has embarked on a new romantic journey with Tony Floyd, a photographer, artist, and director she first encountered 35 years ago. This development follows her previous marriage to former football star Jason Sehorn and her relationship with Greg Vaughn.
A Love Story Decades in the Making
On Sunday, Floyd took to Instagram to publicly announce their relationship, sharing intimate photos of the couple posing and kissing. In a heartfelt caption, he recounted their history, revealing they met as teenagers in Italy while both were pursuing modeling careers.
"We met in Italy at eighteen — two kids scrambling for work, chasing modeling dreams, trying to build a life without starving along the way," Floyd wrote. "There was a spark between us even then… but the timing wasn't right."
From Friendship to Romance
Floyd detailed how their paths continued to cross over the years, including a period in their twenties when both were living in Los Angeles and pursuing acting. "You were always better than me. But we were together. And we were in love," he recalled.
Despite their connection, circumstances kept them apart until recently. "And then, after twenty-seven years, our paths crossed again — by chance, or maybe by fate," Floyd continued. "Now the timing is right. Now is our time, my love."
He concluded his emotional tribute by writing: "You are still the same kind, loving, breathtaking, passionate fighter I met thirty-five years ago on that subway platform in Italy. Only now, we know who we are. And we know what we have."
Harmon's Personal Life and Career
The 53-year-old Texas native shares three daughters with her ex-husband Jason Sehorn: Finley (21), Avery (19), and Emery (16). Harmon and Sehorn were married from 2001 until their divorce in 2016.
In recent personal moments captured on social media, Harmon has been seen enjoying domestic life, including playing with her pet squirrel while wearing a nightie at home.
Potential Return to Law & Order
This romantic revelation comes as Harmon has expressed interest in returning to her iconic role as Assistant District Attorney Abbie Carmichael on Law & Order. The actress portrayed the character for three seasons between 1998 and 2001 on the NBC legal drama.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Harmon revealed her enthusiasm for potentially reprising the role on the recently revived series, which has been renewed for its 22nd season.
"I would love it. I was like, Look, guys, I mean, I would love to do an arc or something," she said. "I would love to revisit Abbie. She was just so fun and wonderful."
Harmon also expressed affection for her former co-star Sam Waterston, who played District Attorney Jack McCoy, her on-screen boss with whom she often had spirited debates. "I loved Sam Waterston and that whole group," she added.
Reflecting on her time with the franchise, Harmon described it as "a really, really wonderful time in my life." She humorously suggested that her character Abbie Carmichael could potentially step into Jack McCoy's shoes, quipping, "That would be perfect. Just hang on everybody."
The actress, who also guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, characterized her experience with the Dick Wolf-created series as a happy chapter that helped launch her acting career.
