Apple Martin has paid a heartfelt tribute to her father, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, on his 49th birthday. The 21-year-old aspiring musician shared a series of photos on social media, including a picture of the pair smiling together, captioned: 'My hero's birthday.'
In another image, Apple and Chris are seen hugging during a night out, alongside throwback shots of the singer with Apple and her brother Moses. 'Coolest dad in the world,' she wrote. 'I love you more than anything.'
Chris shares Apple and Moses with his ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who also marked the occasion with a tribute. 'Happy Birthday to the man that gave me these beautiful, wonderful human beings,' she posted. 'We love you, Chris.'
The former couple, who divorced in 2014, have maintained a close co-parenting relationship. Paltrow previously told Bustle that they were determined not to let their split traumatise their children, ensuring they never felt caught in the middle.
Apple is forging her own path in the entertainment industry, releasing a single titled 'Satellites' in October 2025 with indie rock duo Jade Street. She also studies law, history and society at Vanderbilt University, where she performs with a theatre group.
