Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz in Advanced Talks for Hulu Docuseries
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, are reportedly in advanced discussions to film a tell-all docuseries with the US streaming platform Hulu. The proposed series would delve into Brooklyn's burgeoning cooking career and the explosive family rift that has dominated headlines in recent months.
Focus on Culinary Ventures and Family Dynamics
The docuseries is expected to document Brooklyn's culinary ventures in detail, showcasing his transition from a public figure to a chef. Simultaneously, the streamer is keen for the project to lift the lid on the ongoing feud with his family, particularly his estranged parents, Victoria and David Beckham.
This move would place Brooklyn in direct competition with his parents, both of whom have released their own authored documentary series with Netflix. Brooklyn, aged 27, is reportedly very enthusiastic about the project, seeing it as an opportunity to tell his story on his own terms.
Background of the Family Rift
Now based in the United States with Nicola, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his entire family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations. In January, he claimed his parents had attempted to sabotage his marriage and consistently prioritised public branding over genuine family relationships.
"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," he wrote. "The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into." He added that he had witnessed efforts to place lies in the media to preserve a facade.
Strategic Moves and Family Absences
Unlike his three younger siblings, Brooklyn did not appear in his mother's recent Netflix docuseries, nor did he attend the October premiere. He and Nicola had previously shown support by attending the London premiere of his father's docuseries in 2023. Their absence has been notable at key family events, including David's 50th birthday celebrations last May and his investiture at Windsor Castle on November 4.
Brooklyn and Nicola are reportedly determined to make it clear they are not being controlled by Nicola's wealthy family, the Peltzes. They have turned down big-money interview offers in the past, insisting that when they speak, it will be entirely on their own terms.
Hulu's Interest and Competitive Landscape
Hulu, which is home to hit reality shows like The Kardashians and is owned by Disney, sees significant potential in this project. A source told The Sun, "They'd be instantly propelled firmly into the big leagues and in direct competition with Netflix, which, of course, has its own Beckham ties."
Interestingly, Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, previously held a $1 billion stake in Disney, which he sold in 2024 after a failed bid to join the company's board. This adds a layer of corporate intrigue to the negotiations.
Recent Social Activities and Near Misses
Amidst the family drama, Brooklyn has maintained a social life in Los Angeles. Recently, he enjoyed dinner at Sushi Park in West Hollywood with singer Cody Simpson, following a near miss with his father, David, at the same hotel earlier in the week. Brooklyn kept his attire laid-back for the outing, wearing a simple white T-shirt, dark baseball cap, light brown shorts, and white socks.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Hulu and representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola for comment on the ongoing talks. As discussions progress, this docuseries could mark a pivotal moment in Brooklyn's career and his very public family narrative.
