Brooklyn Beckham's Showbiz Appearance as He Prepares to Snub Brother's Birthday
David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, looks set to snub his younger brother Cruz's 21st birthday celebrations. Instead of flying home to be with his family, Brooklyn co-hosted a Burger Bash event at the 2026 South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami Beach, Florida.
Food Festival Focus Over Family Festivities
Brooklyn rocked up at the food event ahead of his brother Cruz's 21st birthday on Friday. He was there to promote his Cloud 23 hot sauce range and has yet to mention his brother's special day on social media. This move comes after Brooklyn went nuclear on parents David and Victoria in a blistering attack in January, vowing to never speak to them again.
At the festival, Brooklyn chose to cover up his wrists, wearing a beige cardigan. This is notable as he still sports the £220,000 rose-gold Patek Philippe Nautilus watch reportedly worth $300,000, which was gifted to him by his father for his own 21st birthday. Despite claiming no plans to reconcile with his parents, he continues to wear this "favourite watch" daily.
David Beckham's Heartfelt Tribute to Cruz
Meanwhile, David Beckham made his feelings abundantly clear by posting a sweet tribute to son Cruz on his 21st birthday on Friday morning. As his famous dad led tributes to the budding singer-songwriter on social media, his comments could be seen as a thinly-veiled dig at his estranged eldest son Brooklyn.
Sharing an adorable video of Cruz as a little boy, David's gushing post read: "Happy 21st birthday to my little boy. Not so little anymore but the proudest thing that I am of you is the person and man that you have become, you are kind, considerate and fiercely loyal to your family, friends and everyone around you which makes you a very special person."
He added: "You are on your own journey in life and you are working hard and having fun which is what life is all about... We love you Cruzie and hope you have the most amazing day because you deserve to." David ended his tribute with a nod to his designer wife, penning: 'Well done mum on bringing up another special young man.'
Family Celebrations Without Brooklyn
Days earlier, as tensions with Brooklyn continue to simmer, David and Victoria had put on a huge birthday bash for Cruz with a Beatles theme at Mayfair restaurant The Maine, dubbed ‘The Grand Beatle Ball’. It was attended by the entire Beckham family except, notably, Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, who live in the States.
Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel and Romeo’s partner, DJ Kim Turnbull, also posed for family photographs at the restaurant, hired exclusively for the occasion. Victoria shared a glimpse of the bash on Instagram, writing: "Celebrating Cruz early!! We love you so much!!!", while David also posted, "We love celebrating you Cruzie. A lot of love in the room for you last night."
As well as his dad’s birthday wishes on Friday, Cruz’s brother Romeo shared a throwback snap of himself and a baby Cruz alongside their famous mum, with the simple caption, "Love you bro."
Recent Outings and Ongoing Tensions
On Sunday, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola stepped out for a lavish date night. As he was papped hand in hand with the heiress, he flashed the expensive watch gifted by his father. The Peltz-Beckhams looked loved up as usual after their romantic dinner, with Brooklyn proudly sporting the timepiece despite the family rift.
This series of events highlights the ongoing tensions within the Beckham family, with Brooklyn's absence from key celebrations and David's public praise of Cruz's loyalty underscoring the apparent estrangement. The contrast between Brooklyn's showbiz commitments in Miami and the family gatherings in the UK paints a vivid picture of the current dynamics.
