Brooklyn Beckham Accuses Victoria of Refusing Wildfire Charity Support
Brooklyn Beckham's Feud with Family Over LA Fires Charity

In a dramatic public statement, Brooklyn Beckham has accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of refusing to support a charity fundraiser organised by his wife, Nicola Peltz, during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires of January 2025.

A Public Accusation Amidst Family Strife

The 26-year-old chef released a bombshell six-page statement on Monday, directly addressing the long-running and increasingly public feud with his famous family. He stated he has no wish to reconcile with his parents and is standing up for himself 'for the first time in my life'.

Central to his allegations is a claim that his mother snubbed a personal request from Nicola Peltz to lend her support to a fundraising effort for animals displaced by the catastrophic fires. 'We've gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity,' Brooklyn wrote. 'But the one time my wife asked for my mum's support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.'

The LA Wildfires and the Fundraising Effort

The wildfires in question struck Los Angeles in January 2025, resulting in a tragic human toll: 31 lives lost, over 200,000 people evacuated, and more than 18,000 structures destroyed.

Rather than focusing on human aid, Nicola Peltz, through her charity Yogi's House, organised a drive to help pets and animals affected by the blaze. The charity, which works to save dogs from overcrowded LA shelters and euthanasia, set up a GoFundMe page. The campaign successfully raised $59,444 to rescue pets in wildfire-affected areas and transport them to safe foster homes.

Despite the couple's affluent backgrounds—Nicola is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz—Brooklyn's personal donation to the cause was reported to be $5,000. At the time, both Victoria and David Beckham shared separate posts on Instagram expressing their heartbreak over the fires and gratitude to first responders, but made no mention of their daughter-in-law's specific animal charity initiative.

A Catalogue of Grievances and a Final Break

Brooklyn's statement went far beyond the wildfire charity incident, painting a picture of years of tension and control. He alleged his parents have tried 'endlessly to ruin' his relationship since before his wedding. Key accusations include:

  • Victoria cancelling the making of Nicola's wedding dress at the 'eleventh hour'.
  • His parents pressuring him to sign away the rights to his name before his wedding.
  • Victoria 'hijacking' his planned first dance with his wife at their wedding, which he described as 'inappropriate' and 'humiliating'.
  • Being snubbed by his father, David, during a trip to London for his 50th birthday unless he attended without Nicola.

'I have been controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else,' Brooklyn claimed, stating that the narrative his wife controls him is 'completely backwards'. He said that since stepping away from his family, his lifelong anxiety has disappeared and he has found 'peace and relief'.

The acrimonious divide has seen the couple snub major family events, including David Beckham's 50th birthday and his knighthood celebrations. Brooklyn concluded his statement by asserting he and Nicola want a life of 'peace, privacy and happiness' away from image, press, and manipulation. Representatives for the Beckhams have been contacted for comment.
