Danny Dyer has firmly dismissed swirling rumours that he is set to appear in the second series of Celebrity Traitors, branding the speculation as "absolute nonsense". The actor made the comments during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, where he addressed recent media reports head-on.
No Contact from the BBC
Dyer clarified that despite widespread chatter in January 2026 suggesting producers were eager to cast him for the upcoming series, the BBC has not yet reached out to him with any formal offer or invitation. "They haven't asked me," Dyer stated plainly, putting to rest any assumptions about his involvement.
Open to Participation if Asked
While dismissing the current rumours, Dyer did not rule out future participation entirely. He indicated that if the BBC were to extend an offer, he would be willing to consider joining the show. This leaves the door slightly ajar for potential appearances down the line, though nothing is currently in the works.
Focus on New Projects
During the interview, Dyer also took the opportunity to discuss his latest professional endeavours. He highlighted his new series, Rivals, and The Dyers' Caravan Park, a project he stars in alongside his daughter, Dani. These roles are keeping him busy and focused, rather than any reality television commitments.
The actor's candid remarks have effectively quashed the speculation, emphasising that no discussions or plans are in place with the Celebrity Traitors team. Fans will have to wait and see if the BBC decides to pursue him for future series, but for now, Dyer's schedule appears full with his acting projects.
