DJ Fat Tony Continues to Mock Victoria Beckham Over Wedding Dance Controversy
In a move that has reignited a family feud, DJ Fat Tony has once again taken a public swipe at Victoria Beckham during his sold-out performance. The veteran DJ, a long-time friend of the Beckham family, played the iconic Spice Girls track Wannabe at his Full Fat Brunch gig at The Anthologist on Saturday night, in what attendees described as a clear dig at Posh Spice herself.
Stirring the Pot at a Sold-Out Show
According to reports from The Sun, a party-goer at the event revealed that the choice of song was a direct reference to the ongoing controversy surrounding Victoria Beckham's behaviour at her son Brooklyn's wedding. "Victoria and her dancing is all anyone has been talking about all week so it said it all that DJ Fat Tony played that song – even if he didn’t say anything else," the source stated.
This latest incident follows a week of intense media scrutiny after Brooklyn Beckham, 26, made a series of bombshell allegations in a six-page Instagram statement. The aspiring chef accused his mother of dancing inappropriately on him during his wedding reception and claimed she had "deliberately" tried to cause a rift between him and his wife, Nicola Peltz, throughout their relationship.
This Morning Appearance Fuels the Fire
Earlier in the week, DJ Fat Tony appeared on This Morning to discuss what he witnessed at the lavish wedding, which was attended by 500 guests. Speaking to hosts Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley, the 60-year-old DJ attempted to clarify the situation while maintaining his friendship with the family.
"There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!" he told viewers. "The word 'inappropriate', why I said it was as well, it was the timing."
He went on to describe the sequence of events that led to the controversial moment. "What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage. Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage - and then he says 'Victoria, come to the stage'."
Brooklyn's Heartbreaking Allegations
In his emotional Instagram statement, Brooklyn Beckham made serious accusations against both his parents, David and Victoria. He claimed his family had ruined his life over many years and stated he had no desire to reconcile with them, including his siblings.
"My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we've tried to come together as one," Brooklyn wrote. "My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable."
Support from Past Relationships
Adding weight to Brooklyn's claims, Afton McKeith – who dated Brooklyn in 2017 – has come forward to confirm the authenticity of his statement. She revealed to The Sun that the entire post was written by Brooklyn himself, without any input from his wife Nicola.
"A lot has gone on over the years. This has not just happened suddenly. Brooklyn was telling the truth in his post. It was hard for him growing up," McKeith stated.
She went on to explain the challenges Brooklyn faced growing up in the spotlight. "There are two sides to every story, but I know growing up in the spotlight was challenging for him. He struggled with being in his parents shadows and living up to expectations by the public to be as successful as David and Victoria."
A Family Friend Caught in the Middle
Despite his public comments and musical jabs, DJ Fat Tony has attempted to maintain a balanced perspective on the situation. "Brooklyn is a friend of mine. The whole situation is just awful, the way it’s played out so publicly. Families are families, I don’t know what started it," he said during his This Morning appearance.
He added: "Brooklyn is upset about a lot of things, sometimes the smallest of things can become the biggest of things, because it highlights it. I’m not speaking bad about either party in it, I’m just putting the narrative straight about the dance."
The DJ, who recently married in an intimate ceremony attended by friends including Davina McCall, finds himself in the difficult position of being both a family friend and a commentator on their very public dispute.
As the Beckham family drama continues to unfold in the public eye, DJ Fat Tony's musical choices suggest he has no intention of staying silent on the matter, ensuring this celebrity feud remains firmly in the spotlight for the foreseeable future.
