Gogglebox favourite Ellie Warner has shared her delight at embarking on a thrilling new business venture, declaring she 'feels like she's won the lottery' as she revealed plans for a unique mobile salon.
From Screen to Salon: Ellie's Creative Project
The 35-year-old television personality, who works as a hairdresser away from her Channel 4 commitments, took to Instagram to announce her latest endeavour. Ellie explained she is transforming a 57-year-old caravan into a private studio space, which she has affectionately named the 'Glamavan'.
A Long-Awaited Dream Realised
In her social media post, Ellie captioned: 'INTRODUCING THE GLAMAVAN. Something that I’ve been working on behind the scenes since last spring!' She elaborated on her journey, stating: 'I’ve been wanting to create a private studio space to work in for a VERY long time. At first I was considering a garage conversion, but turned out my garage wasn’t a suitable structure.'
The project has faced logistical challenges, with Ellie detailing: 'She was in storage in Loughborough and isn’t in a towable condition, so finding someone to transport her for a reasonable price took some time but patience is a virtue (which I do not possess).' She added that the delay allowed time to build a carport, as the caravan requires cover being currently non-watertight.
Transformation Underway
Ellie confirmed the caravan finally arrived in September, but progress has been slow until now. She remains optimistic, declaring: 'However all good things come to those who wait and good she will be.' The star is collaborating with her friend Siobhan on the project, promising: 'We are going to create a showstopper from this humble piece of scrap metal. WATCH THIS SPACE.'
