Katie Price has launched a scathing critique of Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls following her appearance on the ITV programme last Monday. The former glamour model, 47, expressed frustration that the interview felt excessively serious and proceeded at an overwhelming pace, leaving her unable to properly address questions.
Price Claims Interview Was 'Bombarding'
In a recent vlog uploaded to her YouTube channel, Katie Price detailed her experience on the morning show. She explained that while she aimed to maintain a "happy and breezy" demeanour during the segment, the hosts adopted a more solemn tone and fired numerous queries in quick succession.
"Oh my god, I was sitting there and they are trying to be serious, and I'm trying to be all happy and breezy," Price recounted. "But it went so quick! I didn't even feel I answered anything! I only felt like I was on there for a minute! Like that... bombard, bombard, bombard."
Discussion Topics: Marriage and Weight
The interview primarily focused on two sensitive subjects: Price's recent marriage to businessman Lee Andrews and her weight. When asked if she could recall the specific questions posed, Price rolled her eyes and responded, "They asked about my weight. They asked 'Do I think it's too quick, what do my family and friends all think, the PhD!' I said no, he hasn't got it in Cambridge, it's somewhere else in Spain."
Price's marriage to Andrews, 43, has attracted significant media attention as the couple wed after knowing each other for only a week. This marks Price's fourth marriage, a decision that reportedly left her family reeling. Since publicly revealing the relationship, the pair have been compelled to address a series of claims and speculation circulating online and in the press.
Price's Defence of Her Decisions
During the Good Morning Britain appearance, Price emphasised her current happiness and openness to questions. "I'm doing really good. Really good. Really happy. I'm so excited to be here today for you to ask me anything you want," she stated. "The reason I say that is because there's been so much speculation in the media, online, and no one can really hear my voice."
Addressing the swift nature of her marriage, Price elaborated, "I think the thing that everyone can't get their head around is, why have I married him quick? I was there, we got engaged, and it just felt right. So why not get married?" She further noted that despite public perception, the relationship has developed over several months with consistent communication.
"I know it seems weird because everyone thinks in 48 hours, you know, we're, what, three months in, four months in. We speak every single day, FaceTime all the time," Price explained. Asserting her maturity and judgement, she added, "I think people shouldn't underestimate me and my decisions. I'm older, I've learned a lot. And it feels right for me. I'm happy and I just want people to be happy for me."
Price concluded that she has 'seen everything I need to see' about Lee's life, reinforcing her confidence in the relationship despite the rapid progression and external scrutiny.
