Lee Andrews has been at the centre of several controversies. Initially, it was claimed he held a PhD from Cambridge University, but these assertions were later debunked. Recently, a voice note surfaced where Lee appeared to be asking for money shortly before his elaborate proposal to Katie. However, Katie has countered these concerns by stating she has seen evidence proving he is a millionaire.
Reason for Delayed Introduction to Children
Despite Lee getting a tattoo as a tribute to Katie's eldest son, Harvey, he has not met any of her children face-to-face. Katie explained this decision during an interview, emphasising her desire to know him better first. She said, "I want to get to know him more myself." While the children have interacted with Lee via FaceTime, Katie admitted it is not sufficient, adding, "No, like it never is enough. And for me to introduce him to the kids, I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet, because I want to get to know him more myself."

During the interview, Katie defended her husband's qualifications. She clarified that while he does not have a PhD from Cambridge, he holds one from Spain. She stated, "He doesn't have a PhD from Cambridge, it's one in Spain. That's for him to say that he's got his PhD, but it's not from Cambridge, I don't know where that came from, he hasn't got a PhD from Cambridge at all but he has got a PhD." Katie also pointed out that his diplomatic passport lists him as 'Doctor Lee Andrews,' with his standard passport showing 'Wesley Lee Andrews.'

When questioned about the rapid pace of their relationship, Katie offered a philosophical perspective. She responded, "Do you ever really know anyone? If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be? Sometimes I don't think you can ever know who anyone is..."
