Following a lengthy hiatus, Taylor Sheridan's hit Western franchise has finally returned to pick up the pieces left by the jaw-dropping conclusion to the flagship show's fifth and final season.

Still recovering from the loss of his father, ranching mogul John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, the new series Marshals opens with the devastating revelation that his wife Monica has also passed away after a battle with cancer. Determined to be the best father possible to their teenage son, Tate, portrayed by Brecken Merrill, Kayce decides to enlist with an elite group of US Marshals, putting the skills he developed during his time as a Navy SEAL to use across Montana.

Some of them took to social media to predict a slow-burn romance developing between Kayce and Belle by the end of the first season.
