Laura Hamilton Defies Age-Shaming Trolls with Bikini Beach Display
Laura Hamilton Hits Back at Trolls with Beach Bikini Display

Laura Hamilton, the esteemed property expert and television presenter renowned for her role on A Place In The Sun, has made a powerful statement against age-shaming trolls by proudly displaying her incredibly toned figure on a sun-drenched beach. At 43 years old, the mother-of-two has faced unwarranted criticism from online detractors who absurdly suggested she was 'too old' to wear bikinis, but she has resolutely proven them wrong with her latest social media post.

A Display of Defiance and Fitness

In a playful video shared on her Instagram account this Tuesday, Laura Hamilton stripped down to a striking blue bikini that perfectly highlighted her chiselled physique and washboard abs. The clip captured her performing energetic cartwheels along the shoreline, not only showcasing her impressive fitness levels but also supporting a noble cause. Captioning the video, Laura expressed her gratitude, writing: 'A massive thank you to everyone who has posted and supported the ‘Cartwheel for a Cure’ Campaign for Leukaemia UK!'

Overcoming Insecurities and Criticism

This bold beach display serves as a defiant response to the trolling Laura has endured, including comments from supposed followers urging her to 'cover up' due to her age. In a previous interview with the Daily Mail, she opened up about the hurtful remarks, stating: ‘I recently read a comment saying I was too old to wear a bikini. I’ve had other similar ones. I remember one person saying, “Shouldn’t women of your age be covering up?” or “Dress your age!”’

Laura also revealed that her legs have been a particular target for criticism, recalling an incident from her teenage years when she was questioned about wearing a miniskirt 'with legs like that'. She explained: ‘I have quite short legs. I mean, they are strong, but they are quite muscular, and I’m only 5ft 3in. In the past when, say, I’ve posted pictures from my gym, people will say, “Oh well, whatever she’s tried to do [fitness wise] she’s still got stumpy legs.” You really can’t win.’

Fan Support and Career Balance

Despite the negativity, Laura's fans have flooded her with compliments and admiration. Responses to her beach video included praise such as: 'Women of many talents including cart wheels on a gorgeous beach', 'You look AMAZING', 'Is there anything you can't do? Awesome', and 'Oh wow, you look fantastic'.

Earlier this month, Laura offered a glimpse into her dedicated workout routine, sharing gym photos where she flaunted her toned abs and biceps while lifting weights in an Adidas crop top and black leggings. As a mother to two children, Rocco, 11, and Tahlia, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Alex Goward, Laura has also addressed the challenges of balancing motherhood with her career.

She recently confessed to The Sun that she has no regrets about spending time away from her children to film the hit Channel 4 series, despite facing online trolling for it. Laura emphasised: 'I have every respect for anyone who's a full-time mum, I just couldn't do that. I love my career as well as being a mum and I've managed to find a way to make it work.' She detailed how she strategically plans her filming schedule around when her children are with their dad, allowing her to focus fully on her professional commitments.

Through her resilience and commitment to both her family and career, Laura Hamilton continues to inspire many, proving that age is no barrier to confidence, fitness, or success.
