Loose Women Stars Reveal Backstage Secrets and Celebrity Crushes

Loose Women stars Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan, and Brenda Edwards shared behind-the-scenes insights and celebrity crushes at the RTS Programme Awards on Tuesday night. The ITV daytime show was nominated for Best Daytime but lost to BBC Breakfast's special episode 'Our Girls: The Southport Families'. Despite the loss, the trio were in high spirits on the red carpet.

Brenda Edwards, a permanent panellist since 2019, said her favourite aspect of the show is 'being able to be myself and to be able to help in whatever way I can who we call our fifth Loose Woman, which is the viewers at home.' Coleen Nolan echoed the sentiment, describing the workplace as 'like coming to work with your sisters and your family'. She added, 'I feel like I’ve gained another big sisterhood.'

Addressing rumours of backstage feuds, Kelle Bryan dismissed the idea, saying, 'We’ve been chosen because we come from different places and have different opinions. It’d be a really boring show if we all just agreed on everything.' Brenda agreed, noting that differing opinions make the show engaging.

Coleen, who split from her boyfriend Michael Jones last April, is filming the next series of Celebs Go Dating, airing this summer. She described the experience as 'intense' but added, 'I have never – apart from Loose – enjoyed or laughed so much in twelve weeks.' She said the show has 'changed me in a lot of ways.'

The panellists shared their celebrity crushes: Brenda named Idris Elba, calling him 'an absolute gent' and 'very tall'. Coleen confessed a long-standing crush on George Clooney, noting, 'he’s funny and apparently he’s charming and a little bit small but that’s alright! I’m good with small.' Kelle revealed her crush is Sir David Beckham.
