White Lotus Stars' Romance Began With Rejected Advance
Meghann Fahy has candidly revealed how her relationship with boyfriend Leo Woodall began with a rejected advance behind the scenes of The White Lotus. The actress, now 35, has been dating her co-star since 2023 after they first met while filming the second season of the acclaimed HBO drama the previous year.
Initial Rejection and Eventual Connection
While Leo Woodall, 29, maintains an extremely private personal life, Meghann has now disclosed that she made the first move during their time on set. She explained how she offered her number to Leo when they met, though she admitted he initially rebuffed her gesture.
Meghann revealed: 'Leo's character doesn't come in until episode three. When he got there, I gave him my number because I was, like, I know how it is to show up late to something. But he never did anything with it.'
She added: 'Months later, he was like, "I didn't know that you were interested in me". And I was like, "I gave you my number! How did you not know that?"'

After her more direct approach, Meghann says they 'very quickly became really, really good buddies... and that was how it happened'. The couple's on-screen roles saw Meghann playing Daphne, the wife of Theo James's character Cameron, while Leo portrayed Jack, a cheeky Essex lad in the hit series.

Leo Woodall spoke about his relationship with Meghann during an interview with ELLE magazine in February 2025, explaining his reluctance to share details publicly. He stated: 'We're very good at keeping it as private as we can. To me, that's the only way. You see public relationships all the time slapped all over social media and I can't imagine that's any fun.'
He continued: '[Your relationship] should be a safe space, so I think letting people into it is completely counter-productive.'

Despite this public discretion, they displayed affection at the movie's after party. Meghann has previously described their relationship as the 'greatest gift' in a sweet tribute to the actor.
She elaborated: 'I don't think I could ever date someone who wasn't in the industry in some capacity, whether it be a director or a writer. The experiences that you're having are so insane and specific. To have a partner who you can make eye contact with across the room and feel seen and have that person be like, "I know," to me is the greatest gift.'
