Medeiros insists to the Daily Mail that their exchanges were far from casual. "It wasn't casual. We spoke constantly. There was intensity. It felt like a real connection," she stated, revealing that Hamilton had begun viewing her Instagram Stories as early as 2024. The communication reportedly intensified during the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix, when Medeiros, noting Hamilton was in her home country, sent the initial message asking about his location.
"I hope you're having an amazing time. Brazilians are honestly one of the most welcoming people," Medeiros wrote. Hamilton reportedly replied, "Best people here. Where are you?" According to Medeiros, this exchange sparked daily messaging, with Hamilton allegedly watching her Stories almost immediately after posting, despite not following her account.

Screenshots of the direct messages, reviewed by the Daily Mail, depict seemingly casual conversations where Hamilton shared his travel itinerary—mentioning destinations like Qatar, Singapore, and the United States—and frequently inquired about Medeiros's whereabouts. "In the screenshots I have, he shares his travel schedule, mentioning that he would be in Qatar, then Singapore, then the United States, detailing where he would be so we could potentially arrange to meet," Medeiros explained.
The messages show exchanges about daily activities, with Hamilton asking about her life and work. In one instance, Hamilton messaged, "Ah wow did know [sic] you used to live in London. I just got back to London for a couple days. Heading to LA Saturday then Vegas. What do you do, Julia?" Medeiros responded with voice messages. Another notable exchange occurred in November when Medeiros commented on Hamilton's Instagram Story celebrating his mother's birthday, writing, "That's so sweet. Happy birthday to future mother-in-law." Hamilton thanked her but did not address the "mother-in-law" remark, instead shifting the conversation to languages and a shop she had mentioned.

Medeiros claims the communication began to dwindle over the Christmas and New Year holidays, with Hamilton's final message appearing on January 28, 2026, where he thanked her for birthday wishes and apologised for not being active on Instagram for over a month. When she asked where he was, she received no reply. Shortly after, romance rumours between Hamilton and Kim Kardashian, 45, emerged publicly.
The pair were photographed together at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds in late January, arriving at a Paris hotel on February 2, and seated side-by-side in a VIP suite at Levi's Stadium during Super Bowl LX on February 8. Medeiros expressed feeling "blindsided" and "hurt" by these developments. "After months of talking, I truly believed we were building something. The messages were constant.
