Home and Away actor Ryan Bown has officially tied the knot with his UK-born actress partner Natalie Spence in a beautiful ceremony held in Sydney. The glamorous couple exchanged vows on Saturday in the picturesque suburb of Balmain, celebrating their union with a harbourside setting that provided stunning views of Sydney Harbour.
A Stylish Sydney Celebration
The 31-year-old soap star, who plays Sonny on the long-running Australian television series, looked dashing in a cream suit paired with an open-neck shirt. He added a touch of colour with a pink flower worn in his buttonhole, completing his wedding day ensemble with understated elegance.
Meanwhile, his bride Natalie made a bold fashion statement for her special day. The former EastEnders actress chose a striking Mary Ioannidis wedding gown that featured a daring short hemline and a stylish bodice top. She wore her hair in a chic bun and honoured tradition with a long white veil, finishing her look with a pair of elegant white high heels.
Celebrity Guests and Social Media Sharing
The wedding attracted several familiar faces from the entertainment industry. Guests included former Summer Bay regular Matt Evans and his girlfriend, Home and Away's Sophia Pennington. Current cast members Tristan Gorey and Adam Rowland were also present to witness the nuptials as special guests of the bride and groom.
The loved-up couple generously shared highlights from their milestone day on social media platforms Instagram and TikTok. Their posts included romantic moments from the ceremony itself, followed by a delightful boat ride on Sydney Harbour. One particularly joyful clip showed a beaming Ryan cracking open a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne during the wedding breakfast and drinking straight from the bottle.
Picturesque Location and Future Plans
Photos shared online reveal the couple chose a gorgeous park location in Sydney's western harbour area, with the iconic Harbour Bridge serving as a breathtaking backdrop to their ceremony. Other intimate images captured tender moments between the newlyweds, including one where Ryan embraces his beautiful bride.
According to reports, the newly married pair are planning a more elaborate wedding ceremony in the United Kingdom later this year. This follows their engagement announcement in April last year, which they shared in a joint social media post that delighted their fans.
From London to Summer Bay
London served as the home base for both Ryan and Natalie before the actor secured his breakthrough role as Sonny on Home and Away in 2025. Natalie has built an impressive acting career with appearances in prominent shows including Emmerdale, Casualty, and Netflix's political drama The Diplomat.
Ryan recently spoke to TV Week about the significant impact on his personal life after being offered the Home and Away role. He described the timing as "wild," explaining that his landlord was selling their apartment just as he was going through the audition process. "The day we moved was the day of my final audition," Ryan revealed. "We were in an empty apartment with a bottle of champagne and pizza waiting until midnight to do my final round over Zoom."
The actor credited Natalie with persuading him to make the life-changing move to Australia. "It was a big move for the couple, but it was Natalie who urged him to take the role," he explained. "She said, 'I'm keen for the adventure. Let's go.' Three days later, I flew home." This supportive decision ultimately led to their new life in Australia and their recent wedding celebration in Sydney.
