Sharon Osbourne Honoured at Billboard Event with Son Jack

Sharon Osbourne displayed remarkable resilience as she attended the prestigious Billboard Power 100 event in Los Angeles, accompanied by her supportive son Jack. The poignant appearance came precisely six months after the passing of her legendary husband, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne.

A Unified Front in Black Attire

The mother-son duo presented a united front, both opting for sophisticated all-black ensembles for the high-profile industry gathering. Sharon, aged 73, looked elegant and composed in a sharply tailored black pinstripe suit, while her 40-year-old son Jack complemented her perfectly with a matching blazer, shirt, and trousers combination.

Photographers captured tender moments between them, including a heartfelt embrace that spoke volumes about their close bond during this challenging period of mourning. Their coordinated appearance symbolised both their personal solidarity and their continued presence within the music industry that has defined their family for decades.

Accepting the Visionary Award

During the ceremony, Sharon received the distinguished Visionary Award from an impressive panel including music industry titan Clive Davis, Michelle Anthony, and Billboard's Executive Director Leila Cobo. The honour recognised her extraordinary contributions spanning nearly six decades in the entertainment business.

In her acceptance speech, Sharon reflected on her remarkable journey, stating: 'When I started in the music industry at the ripe old age of 15, I never set out to win awards for myself. My vision was always about helping extraordinarily talented people achieve greatness, and that's always been my vision.'

Recognising True Artistic Greatness

She elaborated on her philosophy, explaining: 'I was drawn to artists who had that thing, that 'it' factor that you can't manufacture. It's a God-given gift. There are many people in this industry who are so talented, but there's a handful of artists who have true greatness.'

This perspective has guided her legendary career managing not only her husband Ozzy's groundbreaking solo work but also other iconic acts including Motorhead and The Smashing Pumpkins. Her influence has shaped multiple generations of rock music.

Navigating Grief in the Public Eye

The event marked another step in Sharon's public navigation of profound loss following Ozzy's death in July 2025 at age 76. The family had previously expressed that words couldn't adequately convey their sadness, with their grief displayed publicly during Ozzy's funeral procession in Birmingham where they witnessed heartfelt tributes from thousands of fans.

In December, Sharon courageously broke her silence about Ozzy's passing during an emotional interview with longtime friend Piers Morgan on his YouTube show, Uncensored. She revealed heartbreaking details about his final day, including his poignant last words to her: 'Kiss me. Hug me tight.'

The Tragic Final Morning

Sharon recounted how Ozzy had woken at 4am on that fateful day, experiencing restless movement throughout the night. Despite previous serious health battles including pneumonia and sepsis, he decided to undertake his regular early morning gym workout. Merely twenty minutes after heading downstairs to their home gym, where he typically spent up to ninety minutes on the cross-trainer, tragedy struck.

'He had a heart attack,' Sharon revealed. 'I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I'm like, "Don't — just leave him. Leave him. You can't. He's gone." I knew instantly he'd gone.'

Emergency services transported Ozzy to hospital via helicopter, but Sharon maintained her certainty that he had already passed, requesting medical staff to cease resuscitation efforts.

Ozzy's Awareness and Determination

During her interview with Morgan, Sharon also disclosed that Ozzy had been aware his life was nearing its end. Medical professionals had warned him that undertaking his planned final concert would be potentially fatal, advising that he 'wouldn't get through it.' Characteristically defiant, the rock legend insisted on proceeding with the performance regardless.

Sharon tearfully confirmed that she would never remarry following her devastating loss, stating definitively: 'That's it for now.' Her commitment to Ozzy's memory remains absolute even as she continues her professional life.

Star-Studded Industry Gathering

The Billboard Power 100 event attracted numerous music industry luminaries beyond Sharon's recognition. Global superstar Mariah Carey made a stunning appearance in a sleek black long-sleeved dress, while emerging artist Tallia Storm showcased her toned physique in a vibrant red bralet and matching skirt ensemble.

Sharon was also photographed alongside Lucian Grainge, the influential CEO of Universal Music Group, highlighting her continued status as a respected industry figure. Her presence at such events demonstrates both her professional dedication and personal strength as she honours Ozzy's legacy while advancing her own remarkable career.
