Wayne Rooney Demonstrates Public Support for Coleen's Fashion Venture
Former football star Wayne Rooney has visibly returned to his wife Coleen's good graces by prominently displaying support for her Primark clothing collection. The 40-year-old was photographed arriving at Media City in Salford for BBC's Match Of The Day recording on Saturday, carrying his suit in a bag clearly marked with 'Primark presents Coleen' branding.
Reconciliation Following Controversial Party Incident
This public display of solidarity comes just weeks after Wayne was spotted partying with two unidentified women at a pre-BRIT Awards celebration earlier this month. Following that incident, Coleen, 39, was photographed without her wedding ring, sparking widespread speculation about marital tensions. However, the couple now appears to have reconciled, with Wayne reportedly making concerted efforts to repair the relationship.
Wayne joined Coleen at the Liverpool launch of her Primark collection last week, where he was described by sources as being "on his best behaviour" and "very affectionate" toward his wife. A source close to the couple told The Sun: "He might have skipped her London launch, but he was keen to support her closer to home in Liverpool and show just how proud he is of her."
Public Appearances and Documentary Filming
During his Saturday appearance at the BBC studios, Wayne opted for casual attire consisting of a navy zip-up hoodie, matching tracksuit bottoms, a cap, and white trainers. The couple's reconciliation is being documented for Coleen's upcoming documentary series, with cameras capturing their interactions both publicly and privately.
The insider added: "All eyes were on them, and they even had the cameras there for Coleen's doc. Everything is being documented, so fans will get to see what has really been going on behind closed doors."
History of Marital Challenges
This recent incident represents just one of several high-profile challenges the Rooneys have faced throughout their relationship. Most notably, Wayne made national headlines as a teenager when it was revealed he had visited three prostitutes shortly after joining Manchester United in 2004.
The alleged encounters included paying £140 for sex with 21-year-old Charlotte Glover, as well as visits to a Liverpool brothel where he reportedly slept with 37-year-old Gina McCarrick and 48-year-old grandmother Patricia Tierney. Despite these revelations, Coleen chose to stand by her husband, though she refrained from public comment at the time.
Coleen's Perspective on Their Relationship
In a 2023 Amazon Prime documentary about Wayne's life and football career, Coleen candidly discussed her husband's past infidelities and drinking scandals. She credited her parents Colette and Tony for providing crucial support during difficult periods, explaining that concern for their four children—Kai (16), Klay (12), Kit (10), and Cass (8)—influenced her decision to remain in the marriage.
Coleen reflected: "When you're making those decisions you've got to focus on what you want and not other people because you have so many people saying different things to you. 'Oh why is she getting back with him?' Obviously I listen to the people that matter to me, my mum and dad always give me a positive outlook on things."
She continued: "There's nothing that we can't deal with and that's my way in a situation—let's sit down and see what we can do and can we make it work? And we have. We're not the lovey-dovey type anyway, we like to have a laugh and we work well together."
Representatives for Coleen were contacted by Daily Mail for comment regarding the recent party incident but have not issued any public statement. The couple continues to navigate their relationship in the public eye while maintaining their family unit and professional collaborations.
