Max Greenfield, star of the Netflix sports sitcom Running Point, has another comedy project on the horizon with the streaming giant. Titled Don't Say Good Luck, the film features a cast that includes Sunny Sandler, the daughter of Hollywood comedy legend Adam Sandler, who also serves as an executive producer on the movie.
Release Date and Plot
Don't Say Good Luck is set to premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, August 14. The coming-of-age story follows Sophie Birenbaum, played by Sunny Sandler, a high school student ready to shine as the lead in her school musical. However, her world is turned upside down when her mother's cancer returns, adding drama at home.
Star-Studded Cast
Greenfield, known for his role as Lev Levinson in Running Point, is joined by an impressive ensemble. Yellowjackets star Melanie Lynskey and Reservoir Dogs icon Steve Buscemi are among the notable names. Additionally, Brooklyn Nine Nine alum Stephanie Beatriz, Saturday Night Live legend Jon Lovitz, and Avatar actor Jack Champion round out the cast.
Sunny Sandler has previously appeared in several of her father's films, including Grown Ups, Blended, Happy Gilmore 2, and Jack and Jill.
Greenfield's Other Projects
Beyond Don't Say Good Luck, Greenfield has been cast in the upcoming fourth season of HBO's The White Lotus. He will portray a character named Mitchell, though further details remain under wraps. Filming for the new season has commenced in France.
Running Point season two continues to perform well on Netflix, maintaining a spot in the top 10 since its debut.
