Lou Teasdale's Heartfelt Birthday Tribute to Caroline Flack Amid Documentary Release
Lou Teasdale's moving tribute to Caroline Flack on her birthday

Lou Teasdale, the close friend and former stylist to the late Love Island presenter Caroline Flack, has broken her silence with a series of deeply moving social media tributes posted on what would have been Flack's 45th birthday.

Emotional Birthday Tributes

The 42-year-old hair and makeup artist from Yorkshire shared several poignant images to her Instagram stories on Sunday 9 November, just one day before the powerful two-part Disney+ documentary about her friend's life was released.

One tribute featured a beautiful black and white photograph showing the pair smiling together in what appeared to be a hot tub, accompanied by the heartfelt caption 'happy birthday nice friend'.

Another image captured the friends beaming as they splashed in the sea, with Lou writing 'I miss you a lot' alongside a white heart symbol. She also shared the meaningful quote: 'In a world where you can be anything, be kind' - echoing the sentiment that circulated widely following Flack's tragic death in 2020.

A Friendship Forged in Showbusiness

Lou Teasdale, who is in a relationship with footballer Andy Carroll and shares 14-year-old daughter Lux with her ex-partner, singer Tom Atkin, first met Caroline during their twenties while both were building their careers.

Their friendship began when Caroline was the face of The X Factor and Lou worked as a stylist on the show, later becoming chief stylist for One Direction during their tours.

The pair developed an incredibly close bond, spending time together on nights out and holidays, with Lou being one of the people who supported Caroline during her struggles with mental health.

Tragically, Lou was the last person to see Caroline alive before the TV presenter took her own life at age 40 while facing trial accused of assaulting her tennis player boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Seeking Answers in New Documentary

The timing of Lou's emotional posts coincides with the release of Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth on Disney+, a two-part documentary that features Caroline's mother Christine and explores the circumstances surrounding her daughter's final 24 hours.

The documentary includes never-before-heard-or-seen messages from Caroline to those closest to her and examines whether her suicide could have been prevented.

Christine Flack shares in the show's trailer: "People think they know what happened to Caroline, but the reality is much darker, there's so much information the public haven't seen. I want the truth to come out."

The case dates back to December 12 2019, when Caroline allegedly attacked Burton with a lamp at her Islington flat - an accusation her mother strongly denies in the documentary. The following day, the Metropolitan Police charged Caroline with assault by beating.

Caroline Flack tragically died on February 15 2020, one day after discovering she would be prosecuted, with the coroner ruling she took her own life while fearing press intrusion.
