Bobby Brazier, the former EastEnders actor and Strictly Come Dancing star, transformed his typically cheerful demeanour into a smouldering, intense presence as he walked the runway during Gucci's prestigious Milan Fashion Week show on Friday. The 22-year-old showcased his striking model features with confidence, strutting alongside a star-studded lineup that included fashion legends and contemporary icons.
A Star-Studded Catwalk Debut
Bobby joined an elite group of models and celebrities on the catwalk, such as Kate Moss, Karlie Kloss, Emily Ratajkowski, and Vittoria Ceretti. He also shared the runway with iconic figures like the age-defying Demi Moore and style influencer Hailey Bieber, marking a significant moment in his burgeoning fashion career. For the show, Bobby went barefoot and sported a pouting expression, displaying his torso in a skintight, glitzy two-piece ensemble that highlighted his physique and modelling prowess.
From School Trouble to Fashion Fame
Bobby's journey into the world of high fashion began unexpectedly. He first made his runway debut at the Dolce & Gabbana Milan Fashion Week show in February 2020, when he was just 16 years old. The son of the late Jade Goody and presenter Jeff Brazier quickly became a sensation in the fashion industry, also attending London Fashion Week that same year. During an Instagram Q&A session, Bobby revealed that his modelling career started with a chance encounter. When asked by a fan how he got into modelling, he recounted a humorous story about being in trouble at school and meeting model scout Cesar Perin outside a Costa coffee shop. Perin chased him down the street, asking if he was a model, and later signed him to the talent agency Unsigned Group.
Bobby previously told the Daily Mail that modelling has been "great fun" and an exciting opportunity. He expressed his love for the industry, emphasising the thrill of participating in such dynamic and creative events. His rapid rise from a teenage debut to walking for Gucci underscores his growing influence and appeal in the fashion world.
A Spiritual Interlude and Future Aspirations
In addition to his modelling success, Bobby has embarked on a personal spiritual journey. Last year, he spent the summer immersing himself in the Hare Krishna religion after leaving EastEnders. This exploration came during a period of strained relations with his father, Jeff, and his brother, Freddy. Reflecting on his experiences, Bobby admitted that discovering Hare Krishna has been "amazing," but he clarified that he hasn't entirely quit the showbiz world. He hopes to return to acting in the future, balancing his spiritual pursuits with his entertainment career.
Bobby shared glimpses of his spiritual journey on social media, posting from India with captions that expressed his deep appreciation for the faith. He described chanting and dancing with devotees as an experience that the material world doesn't offer, noting the "amazing" pleasure it brings. Despite this spiritual immersion, he humorously added, "Don't worry back on the telly soon… if anyone gives me a job," indicating his ongoing interest in acting roles.
The Daily Mail previously reported that Bobby turned to the Hare Krishna organisation as relations with his family became strained. This period of reflection and growth has added a new dimension to his public persona, showcasing a more introspective side alongside his glamorous modelling work. As he continues to navigate both the fashion industry and his personal beliefs, Bobby Brazier remains a multifaceted figure capturing attention on and off the runway.
