Karren Brady Showcases Slimmed-Down Figure While Promoting The Apprentice

Karren Brady, the prominent businesswoman and vice chairman of West Ham United, displayed her noticeably slimmer physique in a series of striking photographs shared on Wednesday. The 57-year-old, who is actively promoting the latest season of The Apprentice, looked radiant as she posed in an elegant off-white waistcoat and matching trousers, styled with a coordinating blazer and her brunette hair in loose curls.

Addressing Weight Loss Speculation Head-On

Alongside the Instagram photos, Brady wrote about the upcoming episodes, stating: 'The final five candidates are about to step into the interview of a lifetime, facing some of Lord Sugar's toughest-talking business associates who are ready to dissect their business plans, probe every idea, and push them to the limit.' She added, 'Who will rise to the challenge and make it one step closer to Lord Sugar's £250K investment?'

However, the focus quickly shifted to her physical appearance, with Brady directly confronting rumours that her weight loss resulted from medications like Ozempic. She firmly denied using such injections, emphasising that her body transformation was achieved through traditional methods: a controlled diet and consistent exercise regimen.

Criticism of Public Scrutiny on Women's Bodies

In an interview with The Sun, Brady expressed frustration over the persistent questions about her weight, suggesting they often aim to 'belittle' or 'make her feel insecure.' She stated, 'I'm not on Ozempic, but questions about women's weight come up far more often than they should. I'd much prefer the conversation to be focused around my work.'

She elaborated on her stance, saying, 'Anyone can do anything they want to their own body. I have no problem with it at all. But people think they know something they don't know, or they just presume.' Brady questioned the societal tendency to scrutinise women's appearances, noting, 'And so what if I was? And what if I wasn't? It would be my choice. I think the way people talk about women's bodies is certainly an effort to belittle them or make them feel insecure.'

Reflecting on her own experiences, she added, 'I've been called too fat, too thin and everything in between. I've had a lifetime of it. All I want is to feel strong, physically and mentally.'

Fitness Routine and Lifestyle Changes

Brady, a mother of two, revealed that she typically loses up to five kilograms before each Apprentice launch to ensure she looks her best alongside Lord Sugar, whom she described as 'so fit and healthy.' She credited Sugar as a health inspiration, mentioning, 'He is great, he is very fit. He and my husband cycle when we go away on holiday. He is super fit himself, so if anyone is giving tips, it is him to me.'

As a regular gym-goer, Brady has diligently integrated exercise into her busy schedule, which includes her full-time role and duties at the House of Lords. She explained, 'You have to find the time to go, particularly as you get older. I have a very set routine that I do, but it's mainly cardiovascular and weights, and I don't mind the odd swim.' She typically visits the gym three to four times weekly, adapting around her commitments.

Motivation from Grandmotherhood

The businesswoman disclosed that her weight loss journey was partly motivated by becoming a grandmother. Her daughter, Sophia Peschisolido, has two young sons: Leo, aged 22 months, and George, four months. Brady said, 'I have been on a health kick, I became a grandma, and I wanted to be a fit, healthy grandma, so I started eating healthy and exercising.'

She reiterated her rejection of quick fixes, stating, 'I haven't joined [the Ozempic Club] - bloody hard work. It is okay losing it, it is keeping it off.' While she hasn't tracked exact numbers, Brady noted, 'I have lost quite a bit - I don't know, though, as I don't weigh myself. I feel better for it. It is good because everything you put on fits.'
