Melanie C Announces Joyful New Album 'Sweat' and UK Show

Melanie C has announced plans to release her ninth studio album, 'Sweat', and shared the disco pop title track. The song samples Diana Ross's 1982 single 'Work That Body' and channels 'vintage workout video energy', according to the singer.

'Sports, raving, finding joy – these elements are such a huge part of my personality,' Melanie C said. 'What works in the club works in the gym – there's a real crossover.' The album is set for release on May 1, 2026 via Virgin Music Group and is available for pre-order now.

The former Spice Girls star described the record as a 'joyful' project created during a 'very dark time'. She added: 'There are so many horrific things going on in the world... music is what gets me through tough moments. I'm really happy I am bringing out a joyful record.'

The album tracklist includes 'Sweat', 'Drum Machine', 'WCPGW', 'Til' It Breaks', 'Pressure', 'Emotional Memory', 'Attitude', 'Good For Nothing', 'Undefeated Champion', 'Cashmere', 'Free To Love', 'One Track Mind', and 'Flick Of The Wrist'.

Meanwhile, rumours of a Spice Girls reunion continue, with Victoria Beckham recently teasing a comeback after attending an Oasis show. The group last performed together publicly at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.
