Stacey Solomon was back at work for her family's reality show on Wednesday, with her wedding ring firmly on. The BBC star, 36, was spotted shooting scenes for Stacey & Joe at Scotts Tulip Farm in Brentwood, a stone's throw from her £1.2 million home, Pickle Cottage.
However, there was no sign of her husband Joe Swash, 44, during the shoot. Instead, a smiling Stacey was seen having an animated conversation with her best friend Emma Parr while the cameras rolled.
Filming has only recently resumed for the third series of the popular BBC show after tensions at home put the shooting schedule into a tailspin. The Daily Mail revealed that the crew were booked back in December to start filming, but tensions at Pickle Cottage became increasingly difficult to manage behind the cameras, with an insider revealing 'there have been problems between Stacey and Joe.'
Third Series Greenlit
The BBC announced last week that it has given season three the green light and will continue to follow the couple's blended family as they go about their day-to-day lives. The popular show follows their lives at Pickle Cottage with their children: Rex, six, Rose, four, and Belle, three. Stacey is also mother to Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 13, from previous relationships, while Joe has another son, Harry, from a previous relationship.
The second season, which featured six episodes, included Belle's first day of nursery, Zach's 17th birthday, and family skiing lessons. The third series is believed to follow Joe's efforts to build a fishing lake at their lavish countryside property. However, while the first two seasons featured six episodes, the third will only have three, perhaps another symptom of the behind-the-scenes crisis.
Marriage Rumours Persist
Their show renewal comes after the couple battled rumours about their marriage, with Stacey recently forced to defend their relationship. Stacey and Joe's 2022 wedding was celebrated with family and celebrity friends at their £1.2 million home, but it was recently revealed that the marriage was not legally binding. At the time, Stacey said they were planning to register their marriage, but three and a half years on, the couple have still not made their union official.
The bombshell comes just two weeks after the television personality was quizzed about her relationship with Joe after being spotted without her wedding ring. A source told The Sun: 'They always intended to do the legal part, but with six kids and busy diaries just haven't got round to it, life has got in the way.' Stacey and Joe obviously knew that their garden wedding was not legal and were upfront about that.
The news might come as a surprise to fans, who watched the couple on their BBC reality show. Stacey also has lucrative family fashion ranges with Asda and Primark. An insider said: 'It will certainly raise eyebrows with firms and even TV execs that they've invested in a perfect picture that's all a sham.'
