King Charles and Queen Camilla are attending the fourth day of Royal Ascot today, showing no signs of fatigue. The royal couple will lead the traditional carriage procession, marking their fourth consecutive day at the prestigious Berkshire event.
Queen Camilla's Rare TV Interview
On Ladies' Day, Queen Camilla gave a rare television interview to ITV Racing, where she praised Royal Ascot as the 'best of British'. She highlighted the event's broad appeal, saying: 'It doesn't matter whether you love horses, don't know much about horses, you come here for a really good day to experience a bit of fun, the best racing in the world, the best horses – the elegant women.'
Camilla also spoke about the pageantry and procession, calling it 'five days of pleasure' and a wonderful escape from the modern world.
Carriage Procession List for Day 4
The official carriage procession list for Friday, June 19, has been released. The King and Queen will travel in the first carriage alongside Prince Saud bin Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and John Warren.
- First Carriage: The King, The Queen, HH Prince Saud bin Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, Mr John Warren
- Second Carriage: The Earl of Caledon, The Countess of Caledon, Lord Lloyd Webber, Lady Lloyd Webber
- Third Carriage: Mr Ciaron Maher, Mrs Eileen Maher, Mr Ed Walker, Mrs Ed Walker
- Fourth Carriage: General Sir Roly Walker, Lady Walker, Lord Benyon, Lady Benyon
The second carriage includes the Earl and Countess of Caledon along with Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber. In the third carriage are Ciaron and Eileen Maher, accompanied by horse trainer Ed Walker and his wife Alice. The fourth and final carriage hosts General Sir Roly Walker and his wife Kate, as well as Lord and Lady Benyon.
