Netflix has finally served up the long-awaited premiere date for the second season of its critically adored series, Beef. Fans can mark their calendars for Thursday, 16th April 2026, when the next chapter of the award-winning drama arrives on the streaming platform.
A Fresh Cast for a New Conflict
While the first season, which debuted in April 2023, featured stellar performances from Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, season two introduces a brand new, all-star ensemble. The baton is passed to Hollywood heavyweights Oscar Isaac (Dune) and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman). They are joined by Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.
The cast expands with Oscar-winning South Korean star Youn Yuh-jung and the iconic Song Kang-ho, famed for his role in Parasite. Supporting roles will be filled by Seoyeon Jang, William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover, and musician BM making his acting debut.
What's the Beef This Time?
The new season will explore a completely different story of conflict within a rarefied world. Netflix teased the plot, stating: “This season’s inciting incident? A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favours and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”
Acclaimed Legacy and Fan Adoration
The anticipation for the new season is built on the immense success of the first. Beef quickly became one of Netflix's most praised shows, holding an incredible 98% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 87%.
Fans have been effusive in their praise, with one calling it “the best Netflix show by far” on social media platform X. Another fan on Reddit described it as “hands down one of the best TV series I’ve watched in a very long time.”
With such a formidable new cast and a compelling premise, Beef season 2 is shaping up to be another essential entry in Netflix's prestige television lineup. The wait is almost over.
