Coronation Street actress Beth Nixon has dropped a major hint that her character Megan Walsh could be the murder victim in the upcoming murder week, while also teasing who the killer might be. The star, who plays the child groomer, suggested that Megan is unredeemable and that an exit was inevitable.
Megan's Fate Teased
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Beth Nixon revealed that she likes the fan theory that teenager Sam Blakeman could accidentally kill Megan, amid his struggles with mental health. Alternatively, she hinted that Will, the teen Megan has sexually abused, might be the one to strike during a showdown with Maggie Driscoll.
Beth's Thoughts on Potential Killers
Beth shared: "I saw someone say about Sam and I was like, that's a good theory, I like that. I think Will could be a plausible murderer because he's got such a temper. We have seen him bash Daniel over the head out of a bit of rage. He does have a bad temper. Megan pushes his buttons so much, he could snap."
She also addressed the possibility of Maggie being the victim, saying: "Well, I'm scared of Maggie. I think Megan, out of all the characters that she could be scared of, I think Maggie is probably the one that she would be most scared of. She's got a few secrets of Maggie's. She knows what she's capable of."
Behind the Scenes
Beth described her experience filming the murder week as "crazy" and "exciting," noting it is her first TV job. She added: "When I watched the promo I was like, it looks like I'm in a movie. It's just amazing, I've had so much fun with it."
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
