Coronation Street fans fear Megan has new victim after mystery phone call
Corrie fans fear predator Megan has groomed another child

Coronation Street fans have been left horrified, suspecting that predatory teacher Megan Walsh may have groomed another child, following a cryptic and unsettling phone call aired on Monday night's episode.

Mystery Call Sparks Fan Theories

In tense scenes broadcast on Monday, 12 January 2026, the athletics coach, played by actress Beth Nixon, received an unwelcome call from a No Caller ID. Answering the phone, Megan became instantly irritated and was heard saying: "I thought I told you not to call me again. Of course I meant it. Please, will you just let it go?"

After a brief pause, she firmly rejected a suggestion from the mystery caller, stating: "No, no, no, no, no. That wouldn't be a good idea for either of us. Just leave me alone, okay?" The moment was not referenced again in the episode, leaving viewers to speculate wildly about the caller's identity.

Is Will Driscoll Not Her Only Victim?

Fans of the long-running ITV soap quickly took to social media, theorising that Will Driscoll – the sixteen-year-old student with whom Megan has been conducting a secret affair – is not her only target. A prominent theory suggests she may have set her sights on Sam Blakeman, the son of Nick Tilsley, who is just months away from his fifteenth birthday.

One viewer posted on X: "Maybe it's Sam calling Megan not seen him in awhile, imagine the uproar if sweet innocent Sam's head had been turned by seductress Megan." Another reacted with shock, writing: "Bloody hell! Has Megan got another one on the go?!"

The disturbing possibility has sparked outrage, with a third fan warning: "Give it 5 years Daniel and Megan will be making a move on [his son] Bertie!! Creepy!" Others directly addressed Megan's current boyfriend, Daniel Osbourne, with one urging: "Daniel megan is BAD NEWS!! Stay away from her!"

Actress Beth Nixon on Playing a 'Calculated' Predator

The drama is set to continue, as actress Beth Nixon has recently signed a new contract with the show. Speaking about taking on the challenging role of a paedophile, Nixon explained her approach to making the character multi-dimensional.

"Megan is very calculated. Everything she does is for a reason, but she’s very good at hiding that," the actress told Metro. "She’s worming her way into this family; she’s almost like a parasite. But as an actor, I obviously need to find that humanity in her and make her a rounded character."

Nixon also highlighted the importance of the storyline in raising awareness, addressing the dangerous glamorisation of such relationships. "If it’s a storyline that makes one person recognise that this is happening to them and it’s wrong, then it has done its job," she stated.

With Megan now working at Weatherfield High and embedded in the community, fans fear for which child might be next. The storyline shows no sign of slowing down, promising more gripping and controversial episodes to come.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
