The superhero satire series The Boys is concluding with its fifth and final series, which is currently airing. Its spin-off, Gen V, will not return for a third season despite receiving critical acclaim for its first two series. Executive producers confirmed that Gen V characters will continue their stories in The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects.
Tragedy struck Gen V's production when actor Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024, with his role not being recast. The franchise will continue with a new spin-off titled Vought Rising, a murder mystery exploring the origins of the corporation and featuring characters like Soldier Boy and Stormfront.
In full, the cancellation of Gen V marks the end of a critically acclaimed series, but fans can expect to see their favourite characters in upcoming projects within the Boys universe.
