Jason Isaacs 'Pure Jealousy' Over White Lotus Season 4's French Castle
Jason Isaacs Jealous of White Lotus Season 4 Cast

Jason Isaacs, the acclaimed British actor, has confessed to feeling intense envy over the filming location for the upcoming fourth season of HBO's hit series, The White Lotus.

Golden Globes Green-Eyed Admission

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globes, Isaacs gave a succinct, two-word review of the news: "Pure jealousy." The 62-year-old, who was nominated for his supporting role in season three, elaborated on his envy for the cast heading to the South of France. "I can get a train from where I live to be in France. It's not a 15-hour flight like it was in Thailand," he said, referencing the previous season's setting.

Isaacs, known for his role in the Harry Potter franchise, praised series creator Mike White as a "fabulous storyteller," crediting him for his own awards recognition. "You stand in his wake and things like [the Globes] happen to you," he reflected on his "magnificent" time on the show. He urged any actor offered a part to "jump at it" for the chance to be part of White's "fantastically complex stories."

The Lavish New Setting: Château de La Messardière

The new season will swap tropical resorts for a historic French castle. Season four will be filmed at the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, a 19th-century castle transformed into a luxury hotel. The resort, part of the Airelles Collection, sits within 32 acres of gardens featuring parasol pines, cypress trees, and jasmine.

The exclusivity comes with a staggering price tag, with rooms costing between $3,000 and $8,000 per night. According to industry reports, filming is scheduled to begin at the end of April and continue through October.

Cast Updates and Isaacs' Season Three Role

While the full cast list remains under wraps, Isaacs teased that he has friends joining the production. So far, the only confirmed new cast members are Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka.

In the third season, Isaacs played Timothy Ratliff, the troubled patriarch of a dysfunctional family holidaying in Thailand. His performance earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance in a Supporting Role on Television, though the award was won by Adolescence actor Owen Cooper.

With its move to a European castle, the next chapter of The White Lotus promises to deliver another round of satirical drama amidst breathtaking opulence, leaving even its former stars wishing they could check back in.
