Our Yorkshire Farm Fans Express Sadness as Final Episode Approaches
Yorkshire Farm Fans Sad as Series Finale Nears

Devoted viewers of the popular Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door have expressed their disappointment as the show approaches its series finale, with star Amanda Owen issuing an emotional update about the upcoming episode.

Amanda Owen Teases Heartfelt Finale

The programme, which follows Amanda Owen, her ex-husband Clive, and their family as they renovate a derelict farmhouse known as Anty John's in the Yorkshire countryside, is currently in its third series. The latest instalment showed the family preparing for Clive's 70th birthday celebrations and making progress on the property, including finally activating the underfloor heating.

However, Amanda Owen has now revealed that the final episode, airing next Monday on More 4 at 9pm, will be particularly poignant. In a recent Instagram video, the Channel 4 star commented, "I think there's one more episode next Monday and I think this is—the next one coming is the one that's going to really tug on the heartstrings because if I remember rightly, it's about Chalky."

Remembering Chalky the Family Dog

Chalky was the family's beloved dog who passed away at the end of last year. At the time, Amanda informed fans that the pooch was 'fading' and had enjoyed a 'great life' but was 'struggling'. The episode is expected to focus on this loss, adding an emotional layer to the series conclusion.

Following her video, fans were quick to share their sadness over the series ending. One viewer stated, "Love watching this programme. I'm going to miss it when it ends." Another added, "Best programme on TV right now, always look forward to it, sad that next week will be the last one, best get my hankies ready. Hopefully won't have to wait too long for the next instalments." A third fan shared, "Enjoy the programme so much, wish it would go on always."

Gratitude Amid Challenges

Elsewhere in her update, Amanda thanked viewers for their ongoing support in watching the latest episodes, noting how rewarding it has been to reflect on the renovation progress. She also mentioned recent challenges the family has faced, including adverse weather conditions and issues with a water pipe.

Amanda remarked, "It's not the best day, but you just have to get on with it, don't you? An update will follow in a little while. But, just a big thank you guys, to all of you for your continuing support."

The series, which originally aired back in 2024, has captivated audiences with its authentic portrayal of rural life and family dynamics. As the final episode approaches, fans are bracing for an emotional farewell while hoping for future instalments of the beloved show.
