Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, has courageously shared her hopes for the future, revealing she is trying for another baby after enduring a year of profound heartache.
A Year of Unimaginable Loss
The 35-year-old mother has faced more tragedy than most, losing her husband Tom to a rare and aggressive brain tumour in 2022. Her grief was compounded last June when she suffered the stillbirth of her son, Phoenix, her first child with new partner, tree surgeon Will Lindsay.
Speaking on her podcast, Mum's The Word! with Georgia Jones, Kelsey described 2025 as a "really, really tough" year. "I just want a better year," she explained. "It was s**t. I think to continue the path of, 'is there a baby this year for me', I could have one this year, which is exciting."
Finding Strength in Vulnerability
In a recent, moving video message to her followers, Kelsey emphasised the importance of acknowledging pain. "It's ok to not be ok all the time," she said, challenging the pressure to always appear strong. She admitted to sometimes feeling like she was "holding the whole world" with her bare hands, a burden borne while raising her two children with Tom: Aurelia, five, and Bodhi, four.
"Sometimes strength means being still – it means saying, I just need quiet for a little bit," she reflected. "Sometimes I just need calm, I just need space to breathe... because life doesn't stop and for me, it never really has." Despite the struggle, she finds her purpose in her children, calling them her "reason, peace and power."
A Message of Hope and Spiritual Connection
Kelsey has found solace in the belief that her late husband is watching over their family. On Christmas Eve, she added a plaque for baby Phoenix to Tom's memorial bench. The inscription reads: 'I walk towards my destiny with ease. Phoenix Parker-Lindsay.'
She shared a poignant sentiment online: "It has always stayed with me that Will was looking after Tom's children here, and now Tom is with Phoenix, looking after him for Will." Kelsey revealed that a medium once told her Tom had Phoenix in his arms, a thought that brings her peace. "Whether you believe in that or not doesn't matter… what matters is the peace it brings," she wrote.
Kelsey, who began dating Will in 2023, feels a deep spiritual connection. She previously told OK! magazine that she believes Tom brought Will into her life and that she frequently feels her late husband's guiding presence. Looking ahead, her focus remains on healing, her charity work, and the hope of expanding her family. "What matters is that I keep moving, keep loving, keep believing that better days are coming," she affirmed. "And they are, they've got to be."
