Woman Describes Extraordinary Near-Death Vision During Heart Incident

Lorna Harris, a 52-year-old PR director from Whitstable, Kent, says she has been freed from the fear of death after an extraordinary near-death experience during a medical emergency in the summer of 2023. The incident began when she awoke in the early hours with severe chest pain and difficulty breathing, leading to a dramatic ambulance ride and hospital treatment.

The Terrifying Onset of a Heart Crisis

Harris recounted waking up gripped by crushing pain in her chest, barely able to breathe. Having fallen down the side of her bed, she managed to call 999 and drag herself to the front door to allow paramedics entry. They performed an electrocardiogram, informing her she was suffering from a heart incident before loading her into the ambulance with numb hands and feet.

I remembered the paramedic's urgent words to the driver that they need to go, Harris told The Mail. Next thing I knew, I was surrounded by a wall of beautiful, glittering white sparkles around me, bathed in light.

An Out-of-Body Experience with Impossible Details

Harris described seeing herself from above, as if hovering like a drone, as she was hurried from the ambulance and wheeled down a hospital corridor. She witnessed a female doctor performing CPR on her, followed by a surgeon wearing a brightly coloured jazzy bandana and Vans trainers.

I saw myself half-dressed on the table and felt embarrassed, Harris said. The surgeon mentioned my bright pink pyjama bottoms which had been stripped from my body and told the nurse to bag them up for me. I can still see every inch of the room, the colour of the walls, what the doctors looked like.

After this, everything went dark, and Harris experienced what she called the most peaceful sleep she had ever had. She claims she was aware that she was dead but felt nothing but peace.

Medical Aftermath and Mysterious Corroboration

Harris regained consciousness in cardiac care after being out for a couple of hours, though it felt like mere minutes. A nurse explained that doctors had taken a clot from her heart. Medical professionals confirmed she had suffered a significant heart attack and two cardiac arrests, apparently dying for several minutes.

When Harris recounted her experience to a cardiologist on the ward, he described near-death experiences as one of the last mysteries and revealed that health professionals often hear patients saying they had seen things, including items on high shelves that would have been impossible for them to see normally.

Adding to the mystery, Harris later asked a friend who was due to see her surgeon to inquire about the bandana. The friend reported back that the surgeon indeed wore colourful ones and those shoes, corroborating her impossible vision.

A Transformed Perspective on Life and Death

In her final comments about the experience, Harris noted that she didn't feel afraid during her near-death episode. I felt peaceful, like I was watching somebody different, she revealed.

Most significantly, Harris added that she is now hopeful about the afterlife and is no longer afraid of death, a transformation she attributes directly to her extraordinary experience during those critical minutes in 2023.
